Erik founded NumberOneBaseball in March of 2008. Since then the site has taken off as he has been able to network, recruit authors, contributors, and other sources. NumberOneBaseball has always been on top of the latest trends in both baseball and the business of baseball. Erik always aims to be on top of the latest social trends and find ways to implement these trends into the site. Erik’s expertise in the baseball sector has come from many years of studying the trends of professional teams and analyzing each of their needs. He also has experience in the social media and website industries as he manages several other organization’s websites and writes for other blogs as well. Erik has spent time working for the American Red Cross in their Business and Marketing department, for eWayDirect in their Social Media department, and also with the Washington Capitals of the NHL in their sales department. Jana Kimmel- Editor/ “Off the Bat” Host
Jana is a sports fanatic; with baseball being her first love. She has been running baseball tournaments for the last 7 years, doing everything from announcing to game managing. She’s a lover of statistics and will sometimes get crazy and keep score in pen. When not on a baseball field, Jana is co-hosting the fantasy football radio show 4th & Inches with Jana and The Sherpa on Wednesday nights. Chris N. Papas CHA, CFBE, is currently Chief Operating Officer and President of one of the largest hotel ownership and management companies in the industry. He joined this organization after nine years with Sunburst Hospitality (NYSE: SNB) and Choice Hotels International (NYSE: CHH). Papas is a veteran of the hotel and restaurant industry. He has over thirty years of experience in the operations and marketing strategies for hotels and restaurants. Known for his ability to create turn around situations for companies, he also has received awards and recognition for his concept creations. In addition to the Presidents award from Choice Hotels International, Papas was awarded the Brandie award by Penton Publishing (publishers of Restaurant and Lodging Hospitality magazines) for his innovative concept developments. He has partnered in the developed of concepts for hotels and restaurants with such names as ESPN Classic Sports, Choice Hotels International, UNO’s Pizza, and many others. He has been designated a certified hotel administrator by the American Hotel & Motel Association and has lectured at colleges and universities. Currently he is on the Board of Directors of ASFONA, the council of franchisees of Starwood (Sheraton, Westin, and Four Points) Hotels.
